San Juan, Puerto Rico, 1860. The only son of a well known Island Landlord has incurred his father's wrath by intending to marry a free woman of color. Maximiliano Alcazar has decided his honor is worth more than his son Andre's life, or that of his intended, Thais. Fearful for their lives, Eneide, Andre's milk mother seals a pact with whomever is willing to hear her prayers, unleashing something far more terrible than her master's wrath. This historical fiction will mix myth and legends from the Caribbean and beyond and brings forth a twist on vampire stories.
