Philosophy in the Age of Emission without Listening
08/26/2025
David Cota
This essay examines the contemporary condition of philosophy under the regime of emission without listening, characterized by textual proliferation detached from any interlocutive function. It argues that current discursive production no longer reorganizes the field of the possible, but rather becomes a mechanism of visibility and institutional legitimation. The critique focuses on three nuclei: textual inflation as a symptom of symbolic disarticulation; citation transformed into an emblem of belonging rather than a conceptual operator; and algorithmic silencing, which reduces difference to mere statistics of compatibilities. Against this scenario, the text proposes rethinking philosophy as a mediation of symbolic legibility, where listening and hesitation emerge as ontological conditions of thought. The argument is articulated in critical dialogue with Adorno and Deleuze, recovering diagnoses of the sterilization of communication and displacing them into an ontology of emerging complexity. The central contribution lies in affirming philosophy not as commentary or performance, but as an operative gesture of symbolic inscription capable of sustaining difference and reorganization within the contemporary saturation of discourse.

This essay defends philosophy as a rational practice founded on knowledge, in contrast with approaches that confuse it with mythopoetic narrative or metaphysical speculation. Beginning with the distinction between logos and mythos, it argues that philosophy constitutes itself as a critical discipline when it refuses both the appeal to transcendence and the language impregnated with metaphysics. Through the analysis of the proposition “Evil is a cosmic force”, it demonstrates how certain formulations fail when confronted with the criteria of intelligibility, criticizability, and public justification. It further maintains that the persistence of the term metaphysics, even in contemporary discourses that deny the transcendent, reintroduces through language precisely that which it seeks to refuse. As an alternative, the Ontology of Emerging Complexity is proposed as an immanent philosophical regime, capable of clarifying the real without appealing to ultimate foundations. In this framework, philosophy does not invent narratives: it offers reasons, distinguishes levels, and symbolically organizes the world out of its own complexity.

The Symbol as Material Operation – A Quantum Example
08/24/2025
David Cota
This essay proposes a radical reformulation of the concept of the symbol, displacing it from representational traditions toward a relational materialist ontology, designated as the Ontology of Emerging Complexity (OEC). Through the distinction between trace, mark, and symbol, the text constructs a rigorous terminology that allows inscription to be thought as functional reorganization of matter, without recourse to transcendence or essences. The culmination of this conceptual trajectory takes place in the quantum experiment, taken not as an object of physics, but as a philosophical paradigm of inscription. The wave function, understood as a technical operator that reorganizes probabilities, is interpreted as a symbol in the full sense: not as representation of a hidden state, but as inscription of a material possibility. Quantum reality, with its constitutive indeterminacy and its dependence on observation, reveals itself as the field where symbolic inscription reaches its maximum ontological potency. The symbol ceases to be mediation and becomes operation — there is no essence to unveil, but matter to reorganize. In this sense, the text does not aim to explain quantum physics, but to reinscribe it as a privileged example of an ontology of inscription, where the real is not given but technically produced. The quantum experiment is not an epistemological limit, but an ontological opening: it shows that the symbol is not a reflection, but an event. Thus, quantum physics is invoked not as a science of nature, but as testimony to the symbolic nature of inscription — where the real is always an effect of coupling, reorganization, and complexification.

This text proposes a radical reformulation of contemporary ontology through the concept of inscription as a material and symbolic operation that stabilizes differences under local conditions. Rejecting the classical dualism between matter and thought, as well as the transcendental residues present in various philosophical traditions, the text affirms the Ontology of Emerging Complexity (OEC) as an operative regime of immanent intelligibility. Inscription is presented as an ontogenetic gesture that does not reveal essences, but reorganizes material instabilities into legible marks, implying energetic cost, finitude, and ethical responsibility. Quantum measurement is analysed as an exemplary onto-epistemic paradigm, in which subject-function, object-function, and apparatus are co-produced in the stabilization of traces. Epistemology ceases to be representational and becomes an intervening practice, while truth is reconceptualized as operative consistency. In this horizon, philosophy abandons the contemplation of essences and assumes itself as co-inscription: a situated practice of symbolic reorganization of the real. Finitude emerges as the affirmative condition of inscription, founding an ethics of emergence based on material listening, responsibility for the gesture, and cohabitation with the variability of the real. Inscription is also technogenesis, implying that language, consciousness, and intelligence are material regimes of symbolic differentiation. The chapter culminates in the affirmation of philosophy as an aesthetic and ethical intervention in the regimes of legibility, where to think is to inscribe — and to inscribe is to share the responsibility for the emergence of possible worlds.

Omni Design - A Framework for Complex Transformations
08/17/2025
Luiz David Szilagyi
Abstract Enterprise transformations—particularly those involving mergers, acquisitions, and spin-offs—are notoriously difficult to execute successfully. The scale of complexity extends beyond individual projects, spilling into programmes that entangle strategy, governance, data, engineering, operations, and organizational dynamics. Traditional frameworks such as TOGAF, McKinsey’s Three Horizons, and Gartner’s Pace Layering offer useful perspectives, yet remain insufficient when applied to the turbulence of contemporary environments characterised by digital disruption, fluctuating markets, political instability, and rapid technological change. This paper introduces Omni Design, a novel framework for transformation that integrates canonical approaches while advancing original constructs designed to account for systemic complexity. Omni Design proceeds through a structured pathway: Strategy → Organizational Design → Enterprise Architecture → Enterprise Solution Architecture → Engineering → Operations → End-of-Solution-Lifecycle. Its distinctive contributions include the Insight-to-Implementation (I-to-I) process, the Cortex-to-Vortex model for enterprise architecture, the Data Vortex construct for governing complexity in solution design, the Design-to-MVP engineering principle, and the introduction of Vortex Bonanza as a state of induced stability to reduce staff turnover. In demonstrating value, Omni Design relies on Wardley Mapping, extending it with Cartesian perspectives of value against people, processes, and technology. The framework is pragmatic, insofar as it integrates methods from TOGAF, Cynefin, CAF, and DMBOK, while academic in its development of systemic theory, structural integrity, and confluence of multiple traditions. The author’s own contributions—Quick Target Operating Model (QTOM), methodologies for Enterprise Solution Architecture, and structured use of Artificial Intelligence in transformation programmes—further enrich the model. Ultimately, Omni Design provides enterprises with a holistic approach to navigate the vortex of complexity, inducing periods of stability, aligning transformation with value, and safeguarding organizational integrity.

This essay examines the retrospective illusion of origin: the historical tendency of Western philosophy to conceive order as a pre-existing foundation prior to its own naming. Readings such as Aristotelian teleology, Kantian transcendentalism, Hegelian dialectics, and Heideggerian ontology are critically assessed, arguing that order is a contingent and situated effect, not a primordial given. In the Ontology of Emerging Complexity, “ontological” designates an operative inscription that provisionally stabilizes a material instability. In dialogue with Foucault, Derrida, Butler, Simondon, Deleuze, and Prigogine, it is argued that all stabilization is local and provisional, the result of functional couplings between matter and symbolic inscription. Naming is understood not as a mere act of description, but as a material operation capable of reorganizing the field of the possible, creating conditions for certain forms to persist while excluding others. This shift reframes the ontological debate on an ethical-political plane: if order is invention, not destiny, its preservation or transformation is always a matter of decision and prospective responsibility—keeping the possible open. The essay concludes not with closure, but with a defence of an ethics of attentiveness and operative openness.

This essay critically examines the enduring foundational logic within Western philosophy, arguing that even its most radical critiques of metaphysics ultimately reinscribe a principle of grounding—whether through presence, absence, event, or structure. From Plato and Aristotle to Nietzsche, Heidegger, Derrida, and contemporary thinkers such as Deleuze, Foucault, Badiou, and Butler, the philosophical gesture remains tethered to a demand for origin and legitimacy. The essay proposes a symbolic alternative: the Ontology of Emerging Complexity. Drawing on Simondon’s theory of individuation and Whitehead’s processual metaphysics, it reframes philosophy as a gesture of symbolic reinscription rather than revelation. Thought is no longer the discovery of essence but the operative reorganization of unstable matter. Philosophy becomes a transductive operator, translating empirical flows into symbolic structures without recourse to final principles. In this framework, truth emerges not from correspondence but from symbolic operativity. The essay calls for a non-foundational philosophy that listens to the real rather than seeks to ground it.

Between Response and Norm
08/13/2025
David Cota
This essay advances an original philosophical framework for understanding the ontological and ethical bifurcation that becomes explicit within the conditions enabled by the post-singularity horizon. It introduces the concept of an “ontology of response,” proposing that intelligence —whether human or artificial— becomes ethically significant not through predictability or internal experience, but through its symbolic capacity to respond to irreducible alterity. The essay redefines hesitation as a constitutive ethical temporality rather than a cognitive deficit, and frames the singularity not as a technological rupture but as the historical threshold through which a pre-existing ontopolitical divergence becomes irreducible — a divergence between two regimes of intelligibility: symbolic responsiveness and algorithmic normativity. By displacing the ethical debate beyond both functionalist adaptation and experiential subjectivity, the essay contributes a novel criterion for the ethical recognition of artificial agents. This ontopolitical reconfiguration situates AI development within a deeper dispute over the conditions of sense-making and the infrastructures that shape the very grammar of the real.

The Allure of Quantum Drama
08/13/2025
David Cota
This essay investigates the narrative allure of quantum theory, focusing on the tension between its indeterminate nature and humanity’s persistent drive for order and meaning. While quantum mechanics describes a probabilistic and non-deterministic framework, cultural and philosophical interpretations often impose dramatic, almost theatrical narratives onto its abstract formalism. Drawing on philosophy, physics, and the Ontology of Emerging Complexity, the text argues that this narrative impulse is not a distortion but an inevitable process of symbolic stabilization. Scientific descriptions, while rigorous, coexist with the human tendency to embed them within stories that provide comfort, coherence, and identity. In this sense, the essay situates quantum mechanics not only as a scientific theory but as a site where excess possibility meets stabilizing form, echoing the structural cycles that govern both matter and meaning.

This essay takes Nietzsche’s “thesis”—that truth is sought only when it serves life—as its starting point to explore the mechanisms of symbolic stabilization that sustain the narrative cohesion of individuals and societies. Rather than opposing Nietzsche to the Ontology of Emerging Complexity (OEC), the text reveals how certain Nietzschean diagnoses anticipate, in psychological and cultural language, dynamics that the OEC interprets on an ontological level. Narrative stabilization, far from being a cognitive error, is presented as a normal and necessary function in the process of matter’s complexification. From this convergence, the text proposes that truth is not an absolute value, but a functional operator acting within cycles of stabilization and reorganization. The survival of the narrative is thus understood as part of a structural interplay between form and excess, where ethics emerges as a situated response to the tension between what is preserved and what is transformed. This reading allows us to reconfigure the role of truth, not as an end in itself, but as a transitory element within a system in constant variation.

The Hesitant Minds: The Weight of Choice Before the New
08/12/2025
David Cota
Philosophical essay examining the structural limitations of inherited morality when facing unprecedented dilemmas arising from the rapid emergence of artificial intelligences, human–machine hybrids, and non-human life forms. The text draws a precise distinction between morality and ethics, arguing that only a critical, adaptive, and situated ethics can provide coherent guidance in a future without historical precedent. It engages with Kant, Levinas, and Hans Jonas, and is articulated within the framework of the Ontology of Emerging Complexity.

Unfinished melody
01/11/2026
Alejandra Perez Garcia Alejandra Perez Garcia , Alejandra Perez Garcia ,
Style: Flamenco Fusion/Pop Ballad) (Musical Intro: 16 beats, soft/melancholic flamenco guitars) [Verse 1] What good is my poem to me? What good are these verses to me? What good are these notes to me? If now I have a great dilemma That turned into a problem And it’s that I don't have your kisses anymore [Verse 2] And now with my wings broken, I don't know how to continue my flight. And sighing in despair Now I only wait For a new sky to be reborn. And maybe then I can Change the rules of the game [Refrain] And even if that fire goes out It doesn't matter to me. Because I'll come back to light it. And if I can't understand, That now time It is already impossible for me to Stop it. [Chorus] Maybe someday you'll understand how much I love you And that in truth, I miss you and it hurts me That you never, In reality, cared. About my heart and the love That I have given you What does it matter now. If I gave you everything. It won't be enough. What I keep in the past. Because in the end Maybe it will remain... Buried forever. (Musical Bridge: 8 beats) [Verse 3] Now I don't know what to do without you. Everything I look at reminds me of you And everywhere I walk there is the scent of you. [Pre-Chorus] And I am contaminated By your absence and This terrible sadness That leaves nothing but a Crazy idea in my head (Intense Musical Bridge: 16 beats, intense flamenco guitars, percussion/hand claps) [Final Chorus / Verse 4] And I have nothing left Than to write again Another melody. Which I can’t describe. And it's the irony Of seeing every day That my empty bed Already feels very cold. And that there will never again be anyone Who can come back Perhaps to warm it up. Or to rip you out of my soul. [Pre-Outro / Soft Spoken part] My love. Only a memory remains And a great pain That I cannot continue to bear. If every second I am sobbing And every minute I am remembering you And so I continue. Every night... So unconsolable Crying for you. And even if you don't believe it, I'm still waiting for you. I ask you to come back... Return... to my side [Outro Chorus] What good is it to me? A story that will remain in my memory. And now without escape I am falling in a loop (waterwheel) And it is that, to you, None of that beautiful concord matters Which is now only Discord. And an eternal despair. And now there is only one path That is waiting. And the wind Is blowing me. And then it drags me away. Towards the center. Of everything I remember. Where you appear first. And it's because I carry you so deep inside. Of my interior. And my thoughts. [Final - Dramatic Spoken Part] What good is the memory to me? Without your warmth I only feel A great void where there is much cold And a horrible and terrible martyrdom And now tell me if in your mind I ever mattered even a little Or perhaps I never managed to conquer your heart But you know very well That maybe I fell in love And what does it matter If my song... Will remain unfinished And I will only remain. In oblivion. And unable to forget you [Final Chorus Repeated] What good is it to me? A story that will remain in my memory. And now without escape I am falling in a loop (waterwheel) And it is that, to you, None of that beautiful concord matters Which is now only Discord. And an eternal despair. And now there is only one path That is waiting. And the wind Is blowing me. And then it drags me away. Towards the center. Of everything I remember. Where you appear first. And it's because I carry you so deep inside. Of my interior. And my thoughts. (Musical Outro: 16 beats and fade out)
