Originally written for piano, Vagues is a tribute to Genoa, my hometown. One can hear the ebb and flow of the sea, memories carried by the wind, and that slightly veiled light so characteristic of the Italian coast. In this arrangement for viola, cello, and marimba, the melodies undulate like waves—gentle and nostalgic. And then comes the final note, deep, almost suspended: a stone falling into the water, slowly sinking to the bottom."

Originally composed for piano, Crissie is a piece I dedicated to my wife. In its own way, it tells the story of a beautiful love, capturing its nuances: tenderness, complicity, bursts of emotion as well as shared silences and more melancholic moments. The arrangement for viola, cello, and marimba brings a new color to this musical declaration. The marimba adds brightness and delicacy, while the strings highlight its depth and emotion. An intimate music, both simple and sincere."

Originally conceived for educational purposes, this work brings together a waltz and a polka composed for young performers. Revisited and combined into a single movement, and arranged for this unusual trio, these two pieces are transformed here into an evocation of the musical traditions of the Austrian capital, faithful to the aesthetic of Viennese salon music.
